WSBF & CTV Live Sessions Wins Award
On May 18th, RadioFlag announced the winners of their inaugural RadioStar Awards. RadioFlag is a social media network for "a new generation of listeners, where the most original and interactive radio content is discovered." The RadioStar Awards are a chance for RadioFlag to recognize the best of what college radio has to offer. The award categories are Best Music Show, Best Talk Show, Best Sports Show, and Best Variety Show.
WSBF & CTV Live Sessions is one of four award winners in the "Best Variety Show" category. Each winner earns a monetary donation to their radio station as well as a full size RadioFlag banner featuring the artists, radio show, broadcasters, and the station represented. In addition, Radio World, "the broadcast industry's best read newspaper", will be reporting on the award winners.
Live Sessions is produced by Chris Tollack (Audio), Jordan Young (Video), Marc Fisher (Lighting), and Jeremy Theall (Cameras). The program features a live band in studio each week performing over the WSBF airwaves. Past performances include Toro Y Moi, Marley Carroll, Jungol, Modern Man, Fort Wilson Riot, Slothpop, Roz Raskin and the Rice Cakes, and Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun.
